Craft activities workshop „Knot at the headkerchief”, Parental House

The traditions of the carpet woven „in buttons” from the XVIII-th century were lost and today they are restored, capitalized again. In order to understand the difference and appreciate the valuables, we suggest you to participate in a weaving workshop organized within the Parental House Craft Center, which is a promoter of the „buttoned” carpet weaving technique. This type of carpet has a decorative and therapeutic function. They are used as a massage mat, because the bulging buttons help to relax the nervous system, back pain, etc. The program of the workshop will end with a thematic ethno-folk presentation from the folk ensemble of the „Parental House” Museum, artistic director Tatiana Popa.
