„Alexandru Donici” House Museum, Donici village, Orhei

The house-museum consists of 4 rooms. Two of them, the big house and the work room of the fabulist, are arranged with characteristic objects for the XIXth century, with Moldovan carpets, but also with Egyptian-style furniture and parquet. Two others are exhibition halls that present the life and activity of the great fabulist.

Heritage: 

• The museum also contains a rich collection of household items, including only one personal object of the poet, which has been preserved to this day, a weapon from the first half of the XIXth century.

• An impressive collection of publications from those times is gathered, as well as documents and images that, in one way or another, are related to the life of the fabulist.
