The Museum of History and Ethnography is located in the heart of Calarasi city from the Republic of Moldova. It is a recently opened museum, in 2014. The museum is the promoter of local traditions.

Description
The main areas of activity: scientific research in the field of history and ethnography of the city, detection, collection, acquisition of cultural goods to complete museum collections, restoration, conservation, classification, scientific and cultural-educational use through publications and museum heritage exhibitions.
Heritage:
The Museum of History and Ethnography from Calarasi today has a collection of about 12 thousand exhibits, with historical, artistic and cultural value, including: ethnographic objects, sculptures, paintings, sketches, personal belongings, collections of photographs, weapons and armor, numismatics, religious objects, etc., themed halls and temporary exhibitions with various personal collections.
Good to know! The most valuable collection of the museum - over two thousand works is donated by the daughter of the sculptor Dumitru Scvortsov, Mariana Scvortova – it is in the exhibition hall with sculptures, graphics, paintings, personal items „Dumitru Scvortsov – Russu”
