Several amazing legends are related to the old Rogojeni village. One of them belongs to the crescent-shaped stone placed on a mound of earth at the entrance to the locality. It is said that this symbol was installed here by the soldiers of the Ottoman Empire. It is said that the crescent is a symbol where many soldiers remained on the battlefield. Vadul Rascov as a fair hosted foreign merchants and travelers, diplomatic processions from different countries. The correct name of the village is Vadul-Rascului and comes from the word „rascu” in the Dacian language, which is said to mean „bag”, from the tax that was paid to cross the Dniester River.
